Tier 1, IT Service Desk Technician

Responsibilities for the Tier 1, IT Service Desk Technician:

  • Provide technical support and peace of mind for Anchor Point clients both on the phone and via email.
  • Resolve Tier 1 technical issues and manage incoming service request queue, primary phone support team, document time spent and strong note taking skills.
  • Troubleshooting various IT issues including Mac and Windows operating systems, cloud services, broad knowledge in Microsoft 365, enterprise cloud backup, network printers, wireless solutions, and networking equipment.

Qualifications for IT Service Desk Technician:

  • Enjoys working with people and excels at problem-solving.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the IT field as a consultant or member of an IT Department.
  • Previous MSP experience preferred.
  • Professional IT Certifications desired such as: Comptia Network +, Comptia Security +, Microsoft Azure, M365, SonicWall SNSA, Cisco CCNA, VMware, or Egnyte.
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer‐care. Patience, sense of humor and empathy is required.
  • Ability to multi‐task and adapt to changes quickly.

Self‐motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment either in person or remote.


Tier 2, IT Service Desk Technician

Essential Duties May Include:

  • Providing technical support and peace of mind for Anchor Point clients.
  • Resolving Tier 1 and 2 technical issues and managing service request queue.
  • Implement various IT projects including Mac and Windows operating systems, cloud services, network printers, wireless solutions, and networking equipment.
  • Answering phones – Tier 2 is part of the 2nd call queue group and is responsible for phone coverage during business hours (8-5). Create service requests from phone calls when appropriate and maintain AP world class customer service standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • 1.5 - 2 years of experience in the IT Field as a consultant or member of an IT Department.
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer‐care
  • Self‐motivated with the ability to multi-task, adapt to changes quickly and work in a fast-moving environment.
  • SonicWall SNSA, Cisco CCNA, VMware, or Egnyte

IT Project Engineer

Job Description for the IT Project Engineer:

  • Assists partners and Project Managers in the implementation of IT systems, software, hardware, or solutions.
  • Defines and executes delivery and implementation plans.
  • Provides training and end-user support during and after the implementation process.
  • Coordinates project activities to ensure the project is on schedule.
  • Provides administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement, progress tracking, and documentation.
  • Projects include Microsoft 365 migrations, domain migrations, Zoom Rooms, Mobile Device Management solutions, office moves and server migrations.

Qualifications for the IT Project Engineer:

  • Enjoys working with people, manages lots of moving parts and excels at problem-solving.
  • 3+ years of experience in the IT field as a consultant or member of an IT Department.
  • Certifications in Microsoft 365 and Azure services, Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, CompTIA Network + and Mac OSX are very helpful.
